On the weekend of July 25-26, 2026 we opened our garden for the second year for the NGS garden charity. After quite a few weeks of dry and hot weather our garden was presentable and enjoyed by our visitors. We put up the gazebo and had plants for sale in a large number from a nurseryman called Phil which were very popular. The Meeting House was open to visitors to view and have refreshments. The weather had cooled quite a bit and was showery at times so the Meeting room was a good place to sit and talk as well. Our visitors enjoyed the garden and Meeting House which is quite unique.

Next year's NGS event will be the weekend of July 31-Aug 1st

On Saturday 15th August, 2026 we held a Meeting for Worship for our Quaker Social day and we have continued to hold a choir recital after lunch from about 1pm for about 30-40 minutes in the main Meeting room. It is well attended by the community both local and further afield, and enjoyed very much by us all. I have made a few taster recordings but I haven't managed to upload them all. So if you wish to listen to more pieces they are uploaded to this YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@hilaryjwhitehead2273

Refreshments were available when the recital was finished and the Band began to play in the garden from 2pm.

This is the second year that Water Village Brass Band has played for us and with some new pieces which were enjoyed on a lovely fine afternoon.

The event was a great success and fundraiser for the Quaker Meeting House and garden and we hope to do it again next year.

Our next event is the first weekend for Heritage Open Days on 12-13 September and this is the link with details https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/site-search.html?q=Crawshawbooth+Quaker+Meeting+House
